Member Categories

Membership runs for one year from the date you join/renew.  Please carefully review the categories below and select the appropriate one based on your current employment. Your membership is pending review by our staff and membership committee to ensure you selected the appropriate category.

Active - $115
Any individual who is, or has recently been, employed by, or an owner of, an entity providing or facilitating the provision of, healthcare services including, by way of example only, a private practice, a practice affiliated with an accredited medical school or graduate medical education program, a federally qualified heath center or other community health center, an ambulatory surgery center, a diagnostic imaging center, a home health agency, a medical services organization and similar entities providing or facilitating the provision of, healthcare services and including an entity which manages another entity providing healthcare services.

Affiliate - $200
Any individual associated with an entity providing goods or support services to a health care provider such as, by way of example only, accounting, billing, consulting or legal services.

Student - No charge
Any individual enrolled as a student in a degree program at an accredited institution of higher learning including, by way of example only, community colleges, universities, technical colleges, postgraduate or fellowship programs. To be eligible for a student membership, the individual must be considered a full-time student by the institution of higher learning at which he/she is enrolled. After submitting the application, please email a scanned copy of your student ID to us at  

Group Membership:

Membership by business entities providing, or facilitating the provision of, healthcare services. Individuals identified by the entity purchasing the organizational membership will be deemed Active or Affiliate Members as applicable.  To learn more about the benefits of this membership category, please contact the Maryland MGMA office at 844.404.0844 or  

Groups of five or more individuals can take advantage of special pricing / benefits. The flexibility this provides is ideal for many practices and you will save time by processing only one payment rather than several throughout the year.

There are two options listed below:

Group Option 1 - Transferrable Membership and Program Registrations
Practices with five or more members may join under this category. Benefits include the ability to transfer membership from one team member to another and the ability to vary who attends each education event based on the topic up to the number of representatives included in your membership level. The attendees may be different for each program. For instance, if you have a membership for 10 people, you may send any 10 people from your organization to one of our programs even if some are not the official members. This is done using a promo code at registration. 

The flexibility this provides is ideal for many practices and you will save time by processing only one payment rather than several throughout the year!

Annual fee:  Must have 5+ members and all are $115 each

Group Option 2 - Non-transferrable Membership
This group option provides you with discounted pricing and allows you to process just one payment for all of your team members.

Annual fee:
5 - 9 members  = $100 per person
10 - 14 member slots = $95 per person
15+ slots = $90 per person
