EDUCATION PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Practice Management Education - In person events

The subject matter of our educational programs is derived from the Learning Domains as defined by the American College of Medical Practice Executives, ACMPE.  These are typically one-hour or 90-minute sessions.

Lunch & Learn (Webinars)

Maryland MGMA offers several webinars each year to provide convenient education options to members across the state.  These programs are also archived with recordings available in the member-only section of our website.  These are one-hour sessions, typically offered on the first Tuesday of every month from 12:00-1:00PM.

Payer Days

Held annually, Payer Day provides the perfect opportunity for billing managers, supervisors and staff to have direct access to insurance carriers. Participants can interact with insurance carrier representatives as well as receive in-depth knowledge from our experienced featured speakers.

Legislative Forum

Our goal to increase the legislature’s awareness of Maryland MGMA and to educate legislators on the issues which affect physician reimbursement and healthcare regulations which, potentially adversely affect patient’s access to care in our state. In May, our Legislative Forum provides a recap of the previous session of the Maryland General Assembly. In 2017, this program was combined with our spring payer day.

State Conference

Our premier event of the year consists of two keynote sessions and nine concurrent sessions.
